Meet Karen Trait - PA-C
Karen Trait, originally from Syracuse, NY, graduated from Cicero-North Syracuse High School in 1996, she played women's lacrosse, soccer, and basketball, as well as competed as a Championship Irish Step Dancer, throughout high school.
Karen attended Boston University on a full athletic scholarship for their division I women's lacrosse team and graduated with a B.S. in Human Physiology from Boston University's Sargent College were she worked as a research associate in neuroscience for Dr. Helen Barbas.
Karen attended and graduated from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2005 with a Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies. Wanting to remain involved in the sports aspect of medicine, Karen decided to pursue a career in sports medicine and joined the Cape Cod Sports Medicine team along side Dr. Donald O'Malley in September 2005. Assisting Dr. O'Malley in the office and in surgery has allowed Karen to be a part of a cohesive team of dedicated medical professionals operating in a challenging and rewarding environment, providing the highest quality and technically advanced orthopedic health care to all Cape Cod Residents and visitors.
Karen is the volunteer coach for the girl’s Lacrosse Team at Falmouth Academy. |
